Holy Crap IT WORKS!

When it comes to weight loss I will try just about any fad diet or weight loss program/supplement. I've tried Herbalife, Zija, Advocare, Shakeology, and 310 Nutrition. I would say that all those products have the potential to work if used to the T but I'm a busy mom and I would forget to take my shake to work or take my pills. It became too much for me to do so I eventually quit.

Last month I decided to try That Crazy Wrap Thing from It Works. My friend/co-worker became a distributor and would post amazing before and after pictures. I couldn't resist asking her about the products. After about 2 weeks of researching and serious consideration I decided to become a loyal customer and order 4 wraps for $25. The wraps were on back order so it took a good while to get the product. When I finally received my wraps I immediately put one on. I followed the directions to a T and waited the long 45 minutes to see if I could see a difference in my belly. 
My first results weren't as amazing as I dreamed they would be but the more water I drank the more my stomach shrank. I could see my tummy "lifting" and my stretch marks were less visible. I completed a treatment which is 4 wraps and when I compared my before and after pictures I was shocked. Holy CRAP the crazy wrap things work! After I saw my results I wanted to try more products and know more about the company. I tried the greens on the go, Energy drink and defining gel.  I loved all of the products!

Lucky Nails

Howdy!

I can count on one hand how many times I've gotten acrylic nails.
#1- Senior Prom
#2 - Justin Timberlake Concert (don't ask)
#3 - Wedding

3 times! That's it! Why? Well I'm not a huge fan of acrylic nails and I hate how thick they are. I've seen people go in with an idea and walk out with something that looks nothing like what they wanted.
For some reason I got the urge to get acrylic nails last week. I'm not sure why I had to have them but I did so I decided to go to a nearby nail salon and see if they could deliver what I wanted.
I've been pinning a few acrylic nail ideas and I fell in LOVE with nude acrylic nails. I pinned countless pictures of nude acrylic nails and I was determined to have them. I went in to the nail salon and showed the nail tech the picture ... Well he not only told me that it was impossible to do but he told me what HE was going to do. Umm no THANK YOU! I looked at him and simply said "If you aren't going to give me what I want I will be happy to take my business elsewhere!" I'm not normally a B***h but for some reason he rubbed me the wrong way and I had no problem telling him how I felt. After I made my comment he changed his tune and said he could do whatever I wanted. I showed him the pictures again and he set out to execute my vision.

Not exactly how I wanted them but I love my nails!

Curious adventures leads to interesting book

I'm pretty sure if you ask anyone about Hugh Hefner or Playboy they'll know exactly who and what you are talking about. I on the other hand had absolutely no idea about the two until Fall of 2005. I was first introduced to the world of Playboy when commercials for a new "reality" television show began airing Summer of 2005.

I am addicted to reality t.v. so of course these commercials intrigued me. The commercials showed three young beautiful blondes having fun while dating a man who could be their grandfather. Of course I thought this was gross but I wanted to see how the dynamics of their "relationship" played out.
Before I watched the first episode and before "goggling" was a thing I had no idea what to expect. I anxiously awaited the shows premiere and was instantly hooked on the show! I absolutely loved all three girls and tuned in every week until the show was cancelled to see what shenanigans the girls would get in to. Like I said earlier I was a fan of three girls and I was sad to see them leave Hef when everything seemed to be perfect.
Of course I rooted for Holly to marry Hef and live happily every after...

Cut to Summer of 2015 (10 years later) and I get my hands on a copy of Holly Madison's Book. Ok I lied, I didn't actually buy the book but I downloaded it on Audible (LoL) but I still got my hands on it. Anywho I couldn't wait to hear about what really went on in the Playboy Mansion. I didn't research the book before I bought it so I thought she was going to talk about how wonderful, happy, marvelous, interesting, amazing and crazy it was to live there. Boy was I wrong! Holly's time at the mansion was far from perfect and picturesque. I don't want to give too much away but it's hard to understand why she stayed for so long and put up with what she did. Holly's book is very interesting and I couldn't stop listening to it. I found myself glued to my phone listening to chapter after chapter every chance I got.
Do yourself a favor and buy the book or download it on audible.

A little serenity in a bottle : )

Howdy!!!
My husband likes to describe me a hippie mom : ) Now if a love for recycling, organic/natural food and essential oils makes me a hippie then I'll take the label. Before I became a mom of two I swore I would NEVER be "that mom" that was so protective of what foods my kids ate, what they drank, and what medicines they took. Of course since becoming a momma of two I have changed my tune and I am just like any other over nurturing momma and proud of it!
My two precious boys are just like any other boy in the world with the exception that they are night owls like their momma. My husband and I have tried countless times to set a bedtime and bedtime routine but these two boys refuse to sleep at a normal time.
Gunner will be starting Kinder this fall and we were worried about his transition from night owl to strict bedtime. During a play date last week my sister-in-law told me about Serenity from doTerra. She swore that serenity helped my 3 year old nephew wind down every night and get to sleep without any pain.

I HAD to try this on the boys! I contacted every person I knew that sold doTerra and only one of them had a sample on hand. We were going out of town that night but I was desperate to try this little miracle oil that I drove about 45 minutes out of my way to get it. My boys were excited about seeing my parents that they were like two talking parrots the first 3 hours of our 6 hour trip. Breakaway

Howdy!

This weekend my little family of 4 are on our way to The Rio Grande Valley! I grew up in Progreso (not the soup) and enjoyed every minute of the slow paced, naive, country upbringing. Growing up I dreamed of leaving Progreso and The Rio Grande Valley to explore the world. 

In fact I used to consider the song Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson as my "theme song". Lol silly I know but it's true 😜

When I left in 2003 I was so homesick that I had every intention of transferring from Texas A&M to UTPA in the Spring 2004. I was miserable in CS. I was by myself and I had friends but they couldn't and WOULDN'T replace my old friends. I guess my potluck roommate could tell I was miserable be she avoided being in our room at all costs. 

It was until I got together with some fellow valley people that I started to open up and have fun. They helped me realize that even though I was 6 hours away from home I could still have fun. My freshman year flew by fast and by the time summer came I didn't want to leave CS. I guess you could say that aggieland grew on me... I went from being a 2% to a full red ass! 

12 years later and I can't believe that I'm still living in CS! I have a wonderful husband and 2 amazing sons! I still get homesick every now and then and believe it or not I still cry every time I leave the RGV after visiting my parents. The older they get the harder it gets to leave them behind. My new goal is to move my parents to CS...wish me luck lol. For now I'll have to settle for my short stays and long lasting memories!

Tyme Iron

Howdy!
How many of you want salon style curls that last all day? How many of you can't use a curling iron to save your life? How many of you wear your hair straight because it's the easiest hairstyle to do???
For years I envied girls that had straight hair  on the top with curls on the bottom. I tried to copy that look and even had my hair stylist show me how to do it with a curling iron and a straightener. After a few tries and looking like a cross between Shirley Temple and Carrot Top I decided to give up. I would just either put my hair in a bun or wear it straight.

Holy Cow dream crushed. I showed my husband the videos and he said "get it"...just like that..lol. I told him that I wanted it for my birthday/mother's day present. Two days after mother's day I received the Tyme Iron!!! I youtubed a couple of videos on how to use it and set out to practice. The first two times I used it my curls were horrible, I thought I had made a huge mistake ordering this iron. It wasn't until I sat down and dedicated about 20 solid minutes and a steady hand that I achieved the desired results! I have used my iron every day since!

My Fit Affinity 2 week review

Howdy!
Well let me start off my saying that I'm a huge sucker for all things weight loss. I will try any shake, pill, meal plan, diet, fitness routine there is to shed some unwanted lbs. I use my Instagram as motivation to lose weight. A couple months ago I started following Fit Affinity and saw that they were having a sale on their lean fat burner for her.  Sounds great right! How could I resist ordering this product : )
I placed my order on June 6th but didn't receive the product until June 19th. After the annoyance wore off I couldn't wait to start taking these supplements. I took them as soon as I got them on June 19th and took my hideous before pictures. I didn't really notice anything right away but on day 3 I did notice that I had more energy throughout the day and my appetite had been suppressed! I went from napping two times a day to staying awake all day!! Of course I haven't lost any lbs yet but I still have 6 more weeks to go :)
